Overall Purpose Of Job:
Manage CSA Internal Network

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

Deployment, monitoring and maintenance of the networking environments, encompassing data, voice, text and image for clients
Deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks including routers, switches and UPSs.
Maintain documentation relating to network config, mapping, processes and service records
Test and monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas
IOS upgrades, configure VLANs, HLANs (Hostile LANs)
Install new network equipment and software upgrades
Change control
Receipt of ordered equipment. Maintaining Inventory.
Mounting/racking of ordered equipment + connection to assigned network. Manage local router configuration and software upgrades (as required).
Providing Test and support to get sites up and running.
Break/fix testing with Service Assurance (as required)
Coordinated support before or after hours when necessary for trouble shooting and turn up involving remote sites
Provide client experience perspective/ feedback following test completions
Tracking inventory of testing related equipment and circuits
Producing network diagrams of environment (include VPN, IP addresses, networks and other necessary information)
Prodcution client support.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Working knowledge of LAN protocols and LAN design best practice
Working knowledge of advanced routing protocols (BGP, RIP , OSPF)
Hard working and a self starter
Some experience of working with WANs although candidates who have worked with large LANs and show a willingness to learn will be considered
2 4 years of network configuration experience
Microsoft Networking Experience
Ability to think logically and work practically through problem solving
Ability to accept input on design and co-ordinate solutions based on design
Responsible and ethical work practices
Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
