CuraContinuity BCM Software

ContinuitySA boasts a number of Business Continuity experts with over two decades of experience in planning and implementing continuity plans in a variety of industries and the toughest working environments. ContinuitySA has partnered with Cura Software, a global developer of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications to create the new Cura Continuity Module, combining the best BCM skills in Africa with a proven GRC solution.

The CuraContinuity Solution

The Cura Continuity package consists of four sections.

Client Customisation: The first section enables your organisation to customise the application to your specific requirements and industry. It provides options to input various risk criteria and levels, specific dependencies and so forth.

Analysis: The second section guides users through a thorough business impact and continuity requirements analyses as well as a risk assessment of the organisation. This section also allows the linking of dependent products/services/processes and assesses the impact of downtime to each.

Strategy Formulation: The third section focuses on formulating a BCM strategy for your organisation and the development of a definitive Business Continuity Management framework.

Response Development: The final section assists in the development of effective strategic, operational and tactical responses to incidents.

Benefits

TOP three (3) benefits of the Product:

  • Practical: In the joint development of this module, ContinuitySA has been able to incorporate a wealth of knowledge gained from their many years of having successfully developed BCM solutions in a wide spectrum of organisations;
  • Flexible: Suitable for any size organisation, from small businesses to large corporates;
  • Current: Continued global and local research ensures that the separate and combined offerings remain aligned with world-class best practices.

TOP five (5) benefits of capturing and management BCM related information electronically:

  • Consistency: Electronic programmes ensure a consistent approach to BCM throughout the organisation, based on the latest guidelines and standards.
  • Dynamic: The information can be dynamically managed and maintained. Even small changes in departments will be recognised and automatically incorporated into the corporate business continuity plans.
  • Analysis: Electronically stored business continuity data is easier to analyse, from a business intelligence perspective, than collating piles of paper. This forms a secure and informed foundation to enhance decision-making.
  • Accessibility: Using a hosting function (cloud computing), or Web-based approach, ensures that information is available from any location and at any time, even during a disaster. Moreover, a Web-based approach means the relevant people can access the system from almost any device with an Internet connection.
  • Green: In this age of environmental sensitivity, reducing the amount of paper-based processes, within an organisation, can be beneficial in supporting green initiatives, in reducing its carbon footprint.
