ICT Service Continuity

Organisations have an increased reliance on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and infrastructure. The stability and reliability of these ICT systems and infrastructure can improve profits or threaten closure in the face of disaster. Business Continuity Management (BCM) solutions and strategies are dependent on reliable and resilient ICT systems to be effective.

In order for organisations to achieve ICT Service Continuity, it needs to put in place a systematic process to prevent, predict and manage ICT disruption and incidents which have the potential to disrupt ICT services (ISO27031).

ContinuitySA can assist with the implementation of the technology and processes required for ICT Service Continuity through our ICT Service Continuity Management methodology. This methodology is based on good practice (ISO27301) and includes, but is not limited to the following:

  1. Assessement of the current ICT Service Continuity capability and alignment with the Business Continuity Management requirements for ICT Service Continuity Management;
  2. Assist with the design of technology, infrastructure, processes, policies and procedures required for the implementation of ICT Service Continuity;
  3. Assist with the implementation of the technology, infrastructure and processes required for ICT Service Continuity; and
  4. Test and rehearse the ICT Service Continuity capability and maturing this capability over time.
